A couple weeks ago I had the privilege to roam among giants. Thanks to automotive photographer Larry Chen and Canon and their photography workshop, I was granted near unprecedented access to explore and traverse the Petersen Automotive Museum, including their underground storage area called the Vault. This hidden basement level is home to an unbelievable collection of rare, historic, and beautiful automotive treasures.
I had assumed we’d only have access to the main halls of the museum, areas that I had seen many times before. But we were given free reign to roam the entire building for nearly 4 hours. I didn’t know that this experience would be so unparalleled—so I didn’t bring my usual filmmaking gear—but luckily I did have a camera and shot some video of the astoundingly impressive collection.
